I switch off between them to keep both exercised. Anyway, I love both radios, either is more than adequate for my needs, though I DO really like the dual receivers in the 101MP, and the extra hundred Watts does make a difference when the band is marginal. I suggested trading in the 3000 on the 101MP, but she wouldn't hear of it. I never asked for either, but she'd been sick for quite awhile and I think she wanted to leave me something 'special' to remember her by (though I could NEVER forget her, she was wonderful). Wifey (RIP) bought the 3000 for me for our anniversary in 2019 and in 2020 the 101MP (said she'd have waited if she knew the 101 was coming out, liked it's picture in the catalog).
